All love,” Bieber countered. “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love,” Gomez retaliated. Bieber is the latest in a series of celebrities dealing with abuse on social media by closing their accounts. Actress and comedian Leslie Jones quit Twitter temporarily in June — devastated by a torrent of racist and sexist abuse aimed at her by trolls. Bieber recently shut his Snapchat account too, and announced in May that he would no longer be taking pictures with fans in public. “It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human,” he wrote on Instagram. “I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.” Bieber and Gomez dated for almost two years from January 2011, but spilt up citing busy schedules. Some fans interpreted “Sorry,” from Bieber’s album “Purpose,” which came out in November last year, as a message from the former child star to Gomez. Brock Lesnar defeats Mark Hunt via unanimous decision in UFC return
Former
UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Brock Lesnar sheds light on
his comeback fight with Mark Hunt and his future career in the Octagon.
(0:58)
Nearly
five years removed from his last bout, Lesnar (6-3), a former UFC
heavyweight champion, made a successful return to the Octagon on
Saturday, defeating Mark Hunt via unanimous decision. The three-round fight co-headlined UFC 200 at T-Mobile Arena.
"Oh, man, it took me a little while to get acclimated," Lesnar said. "Words can't describe it. Thank you, everybody. Thanks so much."
Lesnar, 38, stuck to his strengths against Hunt, who was ranked No. 7 in the world by ESPN.com ahead of the weekend and fought for the interim UFC title in late 2014. The WWE star alternated between keeping a safe, long distance from Hunt and shooting takedowns.
When Lesnar was able to get Hunt down, which he did in the first and third rounds, it was smooth sailing. His massive size and wrestling ability looked as dominant as they ever were during his peak in mixed martial arts, when he won and defended the heavyweight title between 2008 and 2010.
All things considered, it was a relatively smooth return to the Octagon for Lesnar. Hunt did manage to land a few punches, but Lesnar was able to keep the pressure and keep Hunt on the mat.
"People don't realize, for a guy who only fought a few times in this sport, then goes away for as long as he has, his age and everything -- to come back and do what he did tonight is pretty impressive," UFC president Dana White said on SportsCenter after Saturday's card. "He's a freak of nature."
The UFC announced Lesnar's return to the Octagon in June, a little more than one month before UFC 200. He remains under contract with the WWE and is scheduled to appear at SummerSlam in August. Lesnar, who resides in Saskatchewan, Canada, declined to say whether he will fight in the UFC again.
"One day at a time," he said. "I'm so happy to be in here."
White said afterward that Saturday's fight was "a one-time deal" because of Lesnar's contract with the WWE, but added, "That doesn't mean we couldn't do something again in the future."

KYLIE AND TYGA ENGAGED ?
Kylie Jenner Is Not Engaged, Despite Flashing Ring
Instagram
The 18-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who recently rekindled her relationship with Tyga, posted on her Instagram page Friday a photo of her wearing a large, sparking ring on her ring finger.
Kylie is not engaged, two sources told E! News. However, she has discussed marrying Tyga, 26, one of them said.
Facebook
"Kylie has brought up marriage with Tyga to her friends lately, both jokingly and seriously," the source told E! News, adding that the two "have talked about it before too."
"It wouldn't happen now but she's been thinking about it more and wants a future with him," the source added.
The two are "doing really well again," the source added. "They are super in love! Every time they take time apart, they come back closer than ever. It's kind of a cycle for them but the break was good for them. It made them miss each other and appreciate each other more."
Kylie and Tyga have often sparked marriage rumors. Last year, an insider told E! News Tyga "wants to marry Kylie eventually" and that the two "discussed it later down the line once Kylie gets a bit older."
In February, Tyga said in a radio interview that he and Kylie don't plan on marrying soon but added, "I love that girl."
Benue singer framed for murder released after SUNDAY PUNCH report
Gbenga Adeniji
The joy of the Edwards knew no bounds on
June 30 as their son, John Edward, otherwise called Inas, who had been
arraigned for murder and robbery, was released on bail.
He is from Adoka in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
SUNDAY PUNCH had exclusively
reported on June 19 that the up-and-coming musician was framed for
murder and robbery by the Benue State Police Command while he was trying
to retrieve his BlackBerry Z30 phone seized by a policeman.
Investigations showed that the singer
was arrested along the University of Agriculture Road in the North Bank
area of Makurdi by police officers from Division C while he was
returning home after a video shoot on the night of Wednesday, June 1,
2016.
After two days in police custody, he was
granted bail after his family members and friends paid the sum of
N20,000. But he was asked to return the next day, Saturday, to collect
his phone because the officer, nicknamed ‘magistrate,’ who was in
possession of the phone, was not in the station at the time.
It was gathered that on returning the
next day, the policeman was said to have told Edward not to disturb him
about the phone, threatening to re-arrest him if he did.
He allegedly joined him with two others
who had earlier been arrested and charged them with culpable homicide
and criminal conspiracy.
One of the musician’s relative, Mrs. Patricia Mohammed, told SUNDAY PUNCH that Edward is the fourth in a family of eight.
She said, ‘‘I know my brother cannot
commit the crimes he was accused of. Even the music he does, I am still
surprised because he is a reserved person. He hardly talks. He listens
more than he talks.’’
Also, the music producer and video
director identified as Johnicks, who handled the said video shoot on the
day Edward was arrested by the police, was glad about his release.
The 23-year-old singer, who spoke with our correspondent on Saturday, was full of joy.
He said, ‘‘I have yet to know why the
policeman exchanged my freedom for a mere phone. I have never in my life
committed a criminal act let murder or steal. I learnt a bitter lesson
the hard way. I now pray harder and more closer to God. The prison
opened my eyes to many things. I saw humiliation and maltreatment
boldly.’’
Edward, who just graduated from the
Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi where he studied Zoology,
hoped that that the case would eventually be dismissed by the court.
Earlier, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benue State Police Command, Moses Yamu, has told SUNDAY PUNCH that
the then Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, ordered the
command to re-investigate the case when Edward’s friends and family
members lodged a complaint through the Complaint Response Unit that he
was wrongfully charged.

10 Most Expensive Movies Ever Made: 9 Successes and 1 Failure
Check out the top 10 most expensive movies ever made and decide for yourself if you think the high price was worth it!
10. The Chronicals of Narnia: Prince Caspian – $225 million
Released in 2008, The
Chronicals of Narnia is a popular children’s book series by C.S. Lewis,
turned multi-million dollar film production. Given the already
preposterously high cost of the production, the producer decided to cut
some costs, which is why much of the movie was filmed in the UK because
of the tax credits. Part of the reason for the high expenses can be
attributed to the high cost of creating the fantasy world that is
Narnia. It took 200 carpenters to build the sets and there were over
7,000 props involved in the film. In fact, 35 full time employees were
hired to make props alone during the production.
The high production cost paid off in the end, and Prince Caspian brought in $419,665,568 at the box office.
9. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest – $225 million
Dead Man’s Chest is part two
of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean series, and tied for one of the
most expensive films ever produced. This film came out in 2006 and
starred such Hollywood big shots as Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and
Keira Knightley. The price of such celebrities is much of what drove up
the cost for this film’s production. Johnny Depp’s payment alone was an
estimated $20,000,000. The props didn’t come cheap either, the infamous
ships The Black Pearl, and The Flying Dutchman were actually build in
entirety for filming.
Dead Man’s chest made $1,066,179,725 at the box office.
Fun Fact: it cost
Disney $8 million back in 1967 to build the Pirates of the Caribbean
ride in Disneyland, which is $58 million by today’s standards after
calculating for inflation.
8. Man of Steel – $225 million
Swooping in at the bottom of
the Top 10 list, tied with Dead Man’s Chest and Prince Caspian is Man of
Steel. Krypton is running out of natural resources and it’s Superman’s
job to keep the planet’s race alive, in this 2013 superhero hit.
Additionally, $150 million was spent on marketing and distributing this
film. This may sound like a lot upfront, but with such an important and
awaited movie the producers were bound to make most of the cost back
even before the film was released. In fact, Man of Steel brought in $160
million in product placement alone from companies like Walmart, Nikon,
CNN, and Budweiser… just to name a few.
Not to mention, once it hit the big screen Man of Steel grossed $662 million worldwide.
7. The Dark Knight Rises – $230 million
Superhero movies are all the
rage lately, and there’s no doubt that some of the most expensive films
ever produced have to do with the men who can save our planet. Joining
Man of Steel on the list of most expensive films ever prodced is the
2012 release of The Dark Knight Rises. Directed by Christopher Nolan,
this film does not disappoint when it comes to action and suspense.
Somewhat shockingly, however, it was only the third highest grossing
film of 2012, coming behind The Avengers and Skyfall. 2012 was a tough
market when it came to excellent movies, and Dark Knight Rises just
couldn’t keep up despite its high budget.
That’s not to say that the film didn’t bring in any money. In fact, it made a respectable $1,084,439,099 at the box office.
6. Avatar – $237 million
Avatar’s director, James
Cameron, was supposed to start producing the film immediately following
the release of his blockbuster hit Titanic. In fact, it was originally
scheduled for release in 1999, yet it didn’t actually come out until
2009. So what was the ten year holdup? Cameron decided that technology
wasn’t good enough yet to correctly produce his vision, so he had to
wait for computers to catch up.
While the biggest expenses for
this film’s production came from the ground-breaking filming techniques
and graphics, there were some more unusual expenses as well. For
example, Cameron’s vision for his characters involved the creation of an
entire new language–a task that involved contracting linguist Paul
Frommer.
At the box office Avatar brought in $2,782,275,172, making all expenses, no matter how extreme, worth it in the end.
5. John Carter – $250 million
Sometimes films flop no matter
how much money is put into them, as was the case with the 2012 release
of Disney’s John Carter. Never heard of it? That’s not really surprising
given the fact that it only ended up earning $282, 778, 100, the grand
majority of which was brought in from overseas viewers.
In fact, the great expenses
that were wasted on John Carter did not go unnoticed by Disney, who
afterwards questioned the expenses spent on filming techniques for what
should have been a much lower-budgeting movie. Additionally, it made the
company question their spending habits, and budgets spent on films with lesser-known stars,
because everyone knows that films featuring actors like Johnny Depp
will be worth spending money on given the huge financial return.
4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – $250 million
Harry Potter and the
Half-Blood Prince, released in 2009, was based off of the sixth novel by
JK Rowling of the same name. This film was a huge box office success,
bringing in $934,416,487. Of all of the Harry Potter films, this was
Warner Brothers’ biggest expenditure.
Unsurprisingly, given the huge
Harry Potter fanbase, the film was off to a great start on opening
night, taking first place for the biggest single-day gross in the
history of cinema. Then the film continued on to break the world record
for five-day gross, bringing in $394 million after just five days of
being released.
Unlike the $250 wasted on John Carter, the Half-Blood Prince was worth it for Warner Brothers.
3. Spider-man 3 – $258 million
Spiderman has been one of the
most popular superheroes of the 21st century, so it’s no surprise that
his role in cinematic history has landed him a top 3 position for the
most expensive films ever produced, or that it brought in $890,871,626
at the box office.
Given the high-grossing
boxoffice climate that existed when Spider-man was released, the film
was in great company when it hit the silver screen. The summer that
Spider-man 3 was released, in 2007, saw some of the highest-grossing
films in the history of Hollywood. 2007 was the first summer to ever see
$4 billion worth of movie releases–which in addition to Spider-man’s
contribution saw films such as Shrek 3 and Superbad.
2. Tangled – $260 million
It’s not often that big bucks
are spent on a princess movie, which is why it’s so surprising that
Disney’s 2010 production of Tangled– based on the story of Rapunzel–
drew so many dollars. Sharply contrasted with the masculine characters
of most all of the other top 10 most expensive films of all time,
Rupunzel told the story of a young, feisty, princess trapped in a tower
with long hair, just like the Brother’s Grimm original tale.
It might seem strange that an
animated movie could be so expensive to produce, and in fact it’s by far
the most expensive animated film ever made, and it took six years to
produce. The main reason why the production was so complicated has to do
with the mixed mediums of Computer-generated imagery and traditional
animation–all of which was worth it when the film brought
in $591,794,936 a the box office.
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – $300 million
A good number of the movies on
this top ten list are a part of series, but Pirates of the Caribbean is
the only production to hold two positions. At $300 for the production,
it’s the most expensive film ever produced by a long-shot, and also one
of the highest grossing, having more than tripled its budget at the box
office with $963,420,425. In addition to great expenses being spent on
the cast, scenes for this movie were filmed all over the world in places
such as: Port Royal, Isla de Muerte, Tortuga, Pelegosto, Isla
Cruces, and Singapore– and the cost of shipping cast and crew all around
the world certainly did not come cheap.
The movie quickly became the
most successful of 2007, and among the most successful films of all
time, making almost a billion dollars at the box office. At World’s End
was the third of four Pirates of the Caribbean films. If you’re yearning
for more, however, you’re in luck because a fifth film is scheduled to
be released in 2015!

The True Story Of the First Nigerian Transgender
■ How he was raped at 6
The last has not been heard of Dapo Adaralegbe; the first Nigerian transgender who was born a boy, but has now transformed into a lady and now referred to as Stephanie Rose.
Dapo, who made history as the first Nigerian to transform from male to female, recently released her latest photographs looking completely fair in complexion. He was a law student at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State until he was expelled in 2001 from the school due to identity crisis.
After the sad experience, he relocated to Netherlands as Dapo and later underwent surgery to change his gender from male to female. Before he left the country, Dapo granted an interview in which he spoke extensively about his life as a trans-sexual, how he is a woman trapped in a man’s body and his ordeal as a student of O.A.U.
He was quoted to have said the following: “I was studying Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ife. I am of the 1995 set, but I had to leave school in 2001 because of pressures. People were too harsh on me; they did not understand me at all.
When I was in school, the school authorities got to know that I slept with my fellow male students. There was also an incident when I had to be admitted in the hospital. I was bleeding from the anus and I had bad pile arising from sexual intercourse.
“When the school got to know the kind of person I was, they sent me to meet a Guidance Counselor, Professor Roger Makanjuola, who was the Vice Chancellor, who took care of me. You know he is a renowned Psychiatrist. He handled all issues relating to psychiatry with me.
He said I was okay and that nothing was wrong with my preferences, sexual-wise. He said it was just because I lived in an environment that did not tolerate that kind of behavior.
He recommended that I should meet another Guidance Counselor but I did not follow up. Even at that, there seems to be very little assistance one can get medically in Nigeria.
“After a time, I tried going back to school but they told me I have stayed too long away from the system. I applied to change over to University of Lagos (UNILAG) and OAU authorities promised to assist with my transcripts, but they did not send it early, that was how I lost the chance of changing to UNILAG. I eventually dropped out of school.”
In the report, he claimed that he started having sex at the age of six, adding that his parents failed to caution him when he was behaving as a girl at a tender age. “I know this will shock you but I started having sex at the age of six. I had this cousin of mine who used to bring his friend to our house. He was the first to make love to me.
“Since I was small, I realized that I had this feeling that I was a woman. I used to paint myself up and wear girls’ clothes. Nobody stopped or cautioned me. My mother later died when I was 11 years old. My father has other wives and no one particularly bothered about me. I am the last child of my mother, she had four of us,” Dapo reportedly said.
On his relationship with men, Dapo expressed his intention to leave the country and go to where he can find real love. In the report, he lamented that the men whom he had affair with in Nigeria, were only interested in sex and do not want to identify with him.
“I told you I started having sex at the age of six, but no one in my family noticed the problem until I was 14 years old. My father is a Professor of Education. My mother was also a Professor in the same discipline. When my dad got to know, I think he was among the people who made Professor Makanjuola to examine me.
“The truth is that I had gone too far, and I don’t want to talk about my family in this issue.
I have slept with a lot of people but my problem is that they were not faithful to me.
They were not committed; we just have sex and they go away. I wish to have a committed partner that is why I have been trying to get a real lover, one that will care about me.
In the alternative, I will like to relocate abroad where my kind exist.
In the University, I had several lovers but they were not serious. I have several men that I sleep with, I won’t mention their names. They cut across the low and highly placed, just let’s leave it at that. What I want is a committed partner. If I had a choice between getting cured and going for a surgery that will change my sex to a woman, I will prefer becoming a full woman.
“I am already a trans-sexual, the difference between me and other homosexuals are that while they just have the preference for sleeping with fellow men, I feel that I am a woman; I feel that someone should be making love to me the way men do to women. Since I started having sex, I am usually the female, the dormant partner. But do you know that right now, I need two things; a lover that is committed to me or help me to relocate out of this country,” he reportedly said.
His dreams however became a reality years later when Dapo found his way to Europe where he underwent a plastic surgery that transformed him into a complete woman.
Nigerians react
Meanwhile Nigerians and some of his colleagues in OAU have taken to the social media to express anger, pity and love for Dapo ever since his recent pictures surfaced on facebook. Although majority condemned his new look, some accused his parents of having failed in their role while others simply prayed that God will save his soul from extinction.
Blessing
This is why they say train up a child the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. I read a story few days ago about a six year old child in UK who now has been officially cleared to have elective transgender surgery because he likes to play with dolls and dress up as a girl. Somebody somewhere is definitely hell bent on turning the world upside down for sure and freedom of choice is their war cry. May God help us all.
Olakunle
I knew Dapo in OAU Ile-ife and it was obvious he had so much going for him, emotionally and academically. It’s easy for me and everyone to condemn or criticize or pass all sort of comments but let’s not forget that we don’t know Dapo’s deepest fear, pain and all he has been through and as such we only should pray for him and not condemn him. If we all read that story well, it’s clear that Dapo never really had much support emotionally especially whilst growing up, the period that determines how we would turn out as adults. It’s too late now to go back to being male for Dapo, but thank God for God who is merciful and compassionate, I can only pray to God to lead you back to him. I know how it feels like to be emotionally unstable. I understand the impact it can have on human thinking and outlook to life; you begin to seek a sense of belonging in places and options you would normally not consider. I know God will not forsake you, Dapo. So if you are reading this, know that you were not born that way. The Bible says the Lord knew about you even before you were conceived, he made you male for a reason but human intervention has made you feel like a female,”
Steve
I heard that some people claim that although they look like a man, but their emotions and way of reasoning is that of a woman. I have done my findings and discovered that it is a thing of the mind and demonic domination as a result of idleness and generational curse. God never made mistake about his creation but in this era of computer age, we are turning things upside down. The devil is gradually getting a grip of the world.
Take a look at the life style of some of these western countries that we are imitating, they will tell you that you should not shout or beat your child if he or she misbehaves. Everyone is lawless. This is part of the reason why the world is getting to the brink of destruction.
Eniola
While you were in Nigeria, we attended an event in Jibowu sometime in 2008 where issues of sexuality were being treated. You stood up that day and said homosexuality and sex is as unique as Jesus Christ. What a blasphemy. I wept in my heart for you because I knew you were a victim of child sexual abuse. In the whole world both men and women have the tendency to cheat. You better remain there, because we Nigerians will never tolerate your kind till the end of the world. I pray for your soul.
Emmanuel
As long as I am concerned, his father, the so called professor should be held responsible. He should hide his face in shame and should not be allowed to teach in any school. How can you call yourself a teacher when your children are falling apart? Teachers are known to raise the best kids in the world. He was busy with women and forgot his children. May God judge him and other parents who are like the professor?
Cynthia
Nigerians should mind their business.
Most of our influential men in the society are gay. Dapo followed his heart and he is doing well. I know that one day, gay culture will be legal in Nigeria. It is a matter of time. Dapo live your life and concentrate on building yourself academically and financially.
When you become rich, Nigerians will respect you. If you have a major science breakthrough over there, Nigerian government will identify with you as their son. This could help us resurrect the case again and probably win it. Some of us in Nigeria will remain in the shadows till gay culture becomes legal. Ignore your critics
Azeez
I hope parents will learn from this story. Don’t be too busy to monitor your children. If his mother was close enough to him, she would have discovered that Dapo was defiled at the age of six. It was then that he needed his parents most to explain that what happened to him, was a taboo and should be forbidden. I guess that cousin kept doing it again and again. I pray for his soul that God will deliver him from hell. What is the fun of having your anus perforated in the name of sex? God forbid.
Ade
Has anyone considered the role his environment played on him? A lot of people have recounted how they knew him in the past as someone who has identity crisis. Well, this is what it has led to. For those talking about God making him a man, what about hermaphrodites? I don’t know how he poses a threat to Nigeria when he is isn’t a member of Boko Haram,
Nigeria has so many of Dapo’s in the country, they are in the shadows for fear of stigmatization.
Pricilla
Shame on all of you who are condemning this child of God. What right do you have to pass judgment on another human being? You all are not different from Boko Haram.
I remember several times at school he was beaten until he fell into coma. Judging from what has been written here, those who knew him, the treatment he got was no different even at home or anywhere he went. Do you think he is doing this on purpose?
I can only imagine the misery he has experienced in his life at the hands of those who claim to act on behalf of God. The fact that he can find peace and understanding in another man’s land speaks volumes about the type of people we are.
